Can you use an apostrophe to show the contraction?

Now write a sentence using each contraction.

Revision of possessive apostrophes

 

Can you use an apostrophe to write the sentence in a different way

For example The ball of the boy becomes The boy's ball
 

The coat of the girl =

The leaves of the tree =

The bone of the dog =

 

Now use each one in a sentence. For example The boy's  ball got stuck up in a tall, old and twisted tree.

 

 

 

 

Thursday

Can you use each of these words in a sentence to show the difference

with and without an apostrophe?

 

For example: Show the difference between lady's and ladies

I saw the ladies talking in the street.

The ball rolled into the lady's garden.
