Maths Time

Let's start today's Maths activity by telling a grown up the names of each 'fat, solid' 3D shape belowblush.

Well done!   Today, we are going to revisit estimationlaugh. When we estimate, we guess how many objects we can see, and then we count to see if our guess was right or wrong. Today's challenge is a magical estimation gameblush, we have done the first one for you, to show you what to do.

 

                            

 

First, you guess how many magical characters you can see. So, Miss Dodgson thinks there are 5 witches, and Mr Kirkbride thinks there are 6 witches.

 

Then, use your pointy finger to count how many characters there are. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6". So, there are 6 witches in the picture above. Good job Mr Kirkbrideblush

Story Time
Today's story is called 'Rattletrap Car'. The 'Rattletrap Car' doesn’t go fast and it doesn’t go far... But add a beach-ball, a surf-board, a thermos of razzleberry dazzleberry snazzleberry fizz and some chocolate marshmallow fudge delight and see that car gosurprise Lumpety bumpety, clinkety clankety, bing, bang, POP!
