Let's begin by moving our bodies with our favourite Disney characters!

Now that we are bigger, we can do lots of things we could not do when we were a baby.

We are also bigger and taller. Listen to our tall and short song!

Mini Maths

Are you taller than a door?

Are you taller than a chair?

Are you taller than a table?

Are you as tall as the window?

Challenge: Can you put 5 toys in order of size starting with the smallest?

Make it easier:

Help your child to find 5 tall toys and count with them    1              2              3              4              5

Help your child to find 5 short toys and count with them                1              2              3              4              5

Literacy

Sing this rhyme you know and join in with by singing and moving.

Can you hear the rhyming words at the end of the lines?

Now look at these pictures and can you hear which words rhyme? 

Make it easier: Slowly name the pictures shown and point to them. Your child can repeat the words after you. Do this a few times. 

Your child can choose a word and you can say lots of rhyming words for them to listen to, for example; shell, tell, bell, well, fell,

Or you can say their name and find words to rhyme- they may be nonsense words, such as Hassan, Wassan, Rassan,Bassan,Lassan, Tassan  and so on! Say it slowly, say it quick. Your child will start to identify  rhyming words just by listening!
