Super! Now, you are going to practice adding and subtracting, using a number line to help you find the answers, so it's time to switch you adding and take away brains on. 

First, we would like you to find the answers to the sums below. Use a number line to help you, just like you have been doing this week. 

5+3=
12+7=

9-4=

18-8=

Top Tip: Remember, if you are adding, you jump forwards, and if you are taking away, you jump backwards.

Super challenge time:
If you are up for a super challenge time, you need super adding brains switched on now. We would like you to add 3 numbers together, using a number line to help you find the answer.
We have done the first one for you 4+3+2=
First, we find the first number from the addition sum (4), and put a circle around it, like this:

Next, we look at the second number in the sum (3), and then, we jump forwards this amount of spaces along the number line, like this:

Then, we look at the third number in the sum (2), and then, we jump forwards this amount of spaces along the number line, like this:

The last number it lands on, is the answer to your sum. So, 4+3+2= 9
