Today we are going to practice the special friend 'ch.'
Parents: Look at the pictures below with your child. Say each object name, and ask your child to repeat the words after you.
Parents: To help your child remember what sounds are in the special friend, tell them this story - "The horse sneezes when the caterpillar hairs tickle his nose.'" Now, look at the pictures below with your child. Point to one of the pictures, and ask your child whether it is 'th' or 'thank you' Repeat a few times, getting quicker each time.
Now, practice saying these sounds.
In your busy work books, practice writing today's sound 'ch'. Don't forget to use the rhyme to help you!
