Set 1

Today's new sound that we are going to learn is a special friend. It has two letters but it only makes one sound. It is the 'sh' soundlaugh.

 

mail Parents: Look at the pictures below with your child. Say each object name, and ask your child to repeat the words after you.

 

mail Parents: To help your child remember what letters are in our new sound, tell them this story: The horse says sh to the hissing snake. Now look at the pictures below with your child. Point to one of the pictures, and ask your child whether it is 'sh' or 'sh says the horse' Repeat a few times, getting quicker each time.
