PSED
For most of our children in Nursery, this is often the first time they will be without a family member. We support children to gain confidence in their surroundings and help them to develop relationships with adults and other children.
We aim to provide a nurturing environment and family-like feel, where children feel safe and secure and free to be themselves. We recognise individual strengths and needs and enjoy celebrating the success of the individual child.
Initially children can often be upset, quiet or prefer to play alone when they first begin at Nursery. However, with the right support and encouragement, children soon settle in and enjoy their time in Nursery:
