BASIC KIT LIST FOR RESIDENTIALS
ALL CLOTHING SHOULD BE OLD AND COMFORTABLE
• Warm outdoor coat, preferably waterproof
• Enough T-shirts/ warm sweaters/jumpers – for the length of stay
• Enough pairs of shorts/ trousers / tracksuit bottoms- depending on length of stay
• Socks, underwear & pyjamas
• Slippers or Indoor shoes
• Substantial trainers or boots for outdoor wear
• Wellingtons - but not instead of outdoor footwear. ( optional)
• Hat, scarf and gloves for cold weather
• Medication if applicable with name and any instructions clearly written in a bag
• Large towel for showering
• Basic toiletries - soap, shampoo, toothpaste & brush, hairbrush or comb
• Sunscreen - essential in hot weather
• A large bin bag for wet/dirty clothes
• Purse, wallet or moneybag with name and amount on- give to a member of staff.
• Torch – optional
SPENDING MONEY
Between £5 and £10 is sufficient depending on length of stay.
OPTIONAL- Book, board game or similar, camera - disposable is best (with name on)
PLEASE NOTE
Chewing gum is not allowed on any residential.
Children should be discouraged from bringing expensive personal items, and SHOULD NOT bring mobile
Phones-staff will contact parents if necessary.
Personal jewellery is best left at home too. Items of jewellery can be a potential hazard during activities.
All items should be named.
