We have been learning about Aboriginal Art and different aboriginal techniques. We have learned cross-hatching and pointillism, we tried our hand at these techniques using cotton buds and cocktail sticks.
2C then used these skills to create some fantastic rainmakers. 2C did a rain dance and much to our surprise and amusement it began to pour with rain at break time and soaked us all!
2M used their skills to create some wonderful 3D art.
Super Sculptures
We have been looking at sculptures by Artists such as Anthony Gormley,Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Anish Kapoor, Alexander Calder and Dale Chihuly and then we made sculptures with a simple human forms, sculptures in ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ spaces and kinetic sculptures that move in the wind,
