We are teaching children to explore body sounds - clapping hands and stamping feet.
Encourage children to clap their hands softly and loudly.
Investigate different ways to make a sound with their hands, eg. clicking or tapping fingers, sliding/rubbing hands backwards and forwards, interlocking fingers and pushing palms together.
Listen to these sounds other parts of our bodies can make.
Children should try stamping/marching their feet on different floor surfaces and listen to the different sounds e.g. try carpet, tiles, grass or pavement outside.
We sing lots of different nursery rhymes and songs in school.
