Here are today's busy work activities.. Enjoy! 

Phonics Time 

Can you say these sounds?

Now, in your busy work books, practice writing the following letters:
Remember to use the rhymes to help you.

 

d - around his bottom, up his tall neck and down to his feet.

h - down his head, to his hooves and over his back.

w - down, up, down, up.

 

Parents: Ask your child to write the following words in their busy work books.
Boys and girls, remember to use your 'Fred Fingers' to help you.

 

Words to write: sit, dot, mat, flat.

As a challenge, your child could write a simple sentence: a flat mat.

 

Now let's play Buried Treasure.
You need to Fred talk, read the word. If it is a real word put it in the treasure chest, and if it is an alien word put it into the bin.

PE Time

It is really important to keep fit and active while you are at home.

Try to join in with the videos below.

Maths Time

Can you count how many friends are on RD and RK's mat? How many friends are in reception altogether? Write the answer in your busy work books. 

Challenge: Can you write the addition sum in your busy work books? For example: if there were 2 friends in RD and 2 friends in RK, the sum would be 2 + 2= 4.

Now, lets play a counting game.

Story Time
Today's story is called 'Charlie the Firefighter.' It is about a class, a bit like yours, that went on a school trip to a fire station. They learnt all about how to be a good firefighter. Some of the children even decided that they would like to be a firefighter when they grow up. I wonder if you would like to do that job too?
