Curriculum Implementation and Impact

This year our Year 5 and 6 children have successfully completed their Water Sports - Swim Safe courses. Our Year 5 and 6 children also attended St. Margaret's and SFX College for Badminton and Basketball, the Academy of St. Nicholas for Boccia, Holly Lodge for Volleyball, Liverpool Cricket Club for Cricket, St. Julie's High School for an LSSP Dance Festival, Calderstones School for Tennis and the Boccia City Finals, Anfield Sports Centre for Multi-Sports, Bobbleball, Football and Dodgeball and IM Marsh for LSSP Kinball

Our Year 4 children have attended Park Palace Ponies and both Year 3 and 4 have been to Broughton Hall for Gymnastics, Notre Dame Academy for Sport Hall Activities, LFC Kirkby for Football, Anfield Sports Centre for Bobbleball and Boccia and Lacrosse with Coaches from the Great Britain Hockey Team.

Our Key Stage 1 children have been to the Firefit Hub and Broughton Hall for Gymnastics and the Kings Leadership Academy for Matball. They have also been attending Miss Miles and Mr. Goudie's after school gymnastic club on Fridays - thank you for all of your hard work!

Our staff use baseline assessments to regularly assess what the children know as the topic progresses and inform their future planning.

Assessment information is integral to our monitoring cycle.  Our monitoring cycle is developed at the beginning of each academic year.  Monitoring in PE includes: lesson observations and listening to pupil voice.
