Here are today's busy work activitiesyes.

Phonics Time

If your child is confident recognising all of the set 1 sounds, and can read words such as ship, king, bat, and clap, without any support, then click here to learn the set 2 sounds.

Set 1 Sounds Lesson

Today, we are going to learn all about the 'i' sound yes.

 

mail Parents: Look at the pictures below with your child. Say each object name, and ask your child to repeat after you.

 

mail Parents: Look at the pictures below with your child. Point to one of the pictures, and ask your child whether it is 'i' or the 'i-i-insect.' Repeat a few times, getting quicker each time.

PE Time
Now, it's time for PE. It is very important to warm up our bodies at the beginning of every PE lesson.
Let's start moving our bodies to 'Shake Your Sillies out' yes.

Now, it is time for another yoga adventure! This time we will be following a story called 'Kickapoo the Kangaroo' laugh.

Maths Time
This week, at Maths Time, we are going to practice lots of different Maths skills. Today, we are going to practice our counting skills, so make sure you switch your counting brains onlaugh but first..  let's play a quick game of 'Guess Our Number'. 

1. Miss Dodgson is thinking of a number that is one more than 4. What number is she thinking of?

2. Mr Kirkbride is thinking of a number that is one more than 9. What number is he thinking of?

3. Miss Dodgson is thinking of a number that is one more than 13. What number is she thinking of?

4. Mr Kirkbride is thinking of a number that is one more than 17. What number is he thinking of?
 

Next, look below at the pictures of the two football nets. The football players have been scoring lots of goalssurprise. We want you to use your pointy finger, to count how many footballs are in each net. 

 

                    

Challenge: Tell your grown up which football net has more goals (more is the biggest amount). 


Now, can you count the goals in these football nets? Don't forget to use your pointy fingeryes.

                    

Challenge: Tell your grown up which football net has less goals (less is the smallest amount).

 

Super Challenge Time!
There is a problem with the two football nets below.. the football players have scored no goalssurprise. Your challenge is to identify the number at the top of each football net, and then draw this amount of footballs inside. You can do this challenge in your busy bookslaugh copy the football net into your books first!
