Today, we are going to learn all about the 'u' sound .

Let's start today's Maths activity by counting in 10's all the way to 100laugh.

Now, its time to practice our subtraction skills, so switch your take away brains onwink. We will do the first one for you, because we are going to show you how to take away using a number line to help you find the answeryes (it's a little bit different to adding). So, the first sum is 10-4= 

First, we find the first number from the subtraction sum (10) and put a circle around it, like this:

 

 

Next, we look at the second number in the subtraction sum (this is the number we want take away) - 4.
Then, we jump backwards this amount of spaces, like this:

 


The number it lands on, is the answer to your sumwink. So, 10-4=6
Now, its your turnyes.
5-2=
8-3=

7-4=
9-5=

Remember: you are taking away, so you must jump backwards!

Today's story book is called 'Knights and Dragon's Unite'. Sir Gorrell, the knight, and Aristar, the dragon, don’t like fighting and would rather everyone just got along.
