Understanding the World
This area of the curriculum helps children to understand the world around them in a variety of ways.
We notice changes in the weather and seasons and recognise how children grow and change throughout the year.
Children also begin to understand how they belong to a variety of groups including their family, Nursery class, school, wider community and possibly a religious community.
We recognise and celebrate significant events for our children and families including birthdays, the birth of new babies, religious celebrations and fundraising/ awareness days.
