Area SEND Interim Visits led by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
The Liverpool SEND system is pleased to participate in the national programme of survey
work across a number of local areas, also known as the Area SEND Interim Visits, led
by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
On 23rd and 24th February 2021, Ofsted and CQC will virtually visit Liverpool to understand
more about the support you have received during the COVID-19 pandemic and to gather
evidence to inform future national improvement across education, health and care. Ofsted
and CQC really want to hear from you directly.
The aim of these visits is to:
Following the final feedback meeting, local areas will receive a summary note, there will be
nothing published, no judgements or recommendations in the note. A national report will
then be published in spring 2021, reporting the learning from visits across all areas in the
