Look at the dogs below and talk to your child about their size and that they are in order of size from smallest to biggest.
Now look at each group of pets and put each group in order, pointing to each animal from smallest to biggest, using language of 'smaller than'/ 'bigger than'.
Count the number of cats or dogs in each box and say the total amount for each box.
Challenge- which box has the most dogs? which box has the least dogs?
which box has the most cats? which box has the least cats?

Ask your child to tell you the numbers on the dogs bones.
Next, use pasta pieces as bones and ask your child to give each dog the correct number of 'bones'.
