Make-it Monday
The children will be developing their skills using scissors today, using small children's scissors.
Using a water-spray bottle or playing with clothes pegs will help with this.
Children will choose and cut their food picture and add colour using felt tip pens or simple paint.
Taste-it Tuesday
The children will be making their own pizza today. They will:
They will eat their own pizza at snack-time.
(We will ensure children eat their own pizza by keeping a record of each child's pizza in the oven).
Wiggle Wednesday
Today children will repeat movements from last week, continuing to develop their physical control, strength and stamina as they follow the actions shown and move to the music.
Songs and dances relate to our topic on Food.
Thrilling Thursday
Today's thrill will be another role playing session like last week's thrill. It will be a teddy bear's picnic!
All you will need is your child's teddies or dolls, plates, cutlery, table cloth for the floor and any foods you think would like.
Role Playing is an effective way for children to make sense of the world around them.
It develops speaking and listening skills, as well as giving children the opportunity to reflect on and develop their knowledge of a eating with others with creativity and imagination.
Funky Friday
Yesterday we had a teddy bear's picnic. Let's listen to the song!
Now let's sing a number song about sausages!
Now let's get the instruments out!
